Landry and Arcari's
Oriental Rug Repair Services

At least once a year, closely examine your carpets for any sign of wear. Small tears or unraveling ends and edges should be conserved to prevent future damage. Any time you discover damage, bring your rug in to us for evaluation. The saying is true: "A stitch in time saves nine"!

We have several experts in rug repair and restoration on staff in both our Salem and Boston stores. We specialize in antique repair and can take care of minor conservation measures such as wrapping sides as well as complete restorations and re-weavings.

For extensive restoration work, we can keep your cost down by sending your rugs to be restored overseas. These reweavings are done using the highest quality materials and the finest craftmenship. All repairs are guaranteed and full quotes are given before the rugs are shipped. Shipments go out every two months and repairs take anywhere from three to six months.

Bring your rugs in or call 1-800-649-5909 for our convenient pickup service.

Padding

Be sure to have a good pad to keep your rugs properly cushioned and in place, for your safety and for the long life of the rug. At Landry & Arcari we carry different types of padding designed for use on floors and carpeting, and can advise you about which is best for your application.

Mothproofing

If you have problems with moths in your clothing or in other rugs, or if you will be storing your rugs for an extended period of time, we recommend treating your rugs against moths.

To mothproof rugs in your home, sprinkle moth flakes underneath the rugs. Pay special attention to areas beneath sofas or other rugs or furniture, as moths prefer dark, protected areas.

Warning: Children and pets should NOT have access to mothflakes; they are poisonous.

At Landry & Arcari, we offer a safe mothproofing protectant as an additive to our cleaning process; just ask for mothproofing when you drop your rugs off for cleaning.

We can also treat your rugs with moth flakes and wrap them in Tyvek.
