Pictorial and Folklife Rugs Gallery
Although most of the designs in this gallery are contemporary, rug weavers throughout history have include pictorial elements in their designs. One may find people, horses, fish, birds, trees and other representational images in many antique rugs, whether they be from workshops, cottages, or nomadic tents.
