This Illusion rug is an original concept envisioned by Teddy Sumner of Michaelian & Kohlberg, with the design subtly mirroring blades of grass using varying tones. The natural dyes used in the production process create multiple shadings of the same color, a quality known as abrash.

Production for these rugs is primarily carried out in Agra, India, with processes such as weaving and dyeing meticulously performed to ensure the quality and authenticity of the finished product. This rug, in particular, is characterised by an asymmetrical Persian knot.

The Illusion design is inspired by fields of tall, gently swaying grasses and offers a calming visual appeal.
