Introducing an exquisite Afghani rug with a design inspired by the magnificent Serab style. This tribal masterpiece showcases a mesmerizing blend of colors, combining a stunning silver background with a rust border. The main color palette is adorned with shades of grey, creating a captivating visual appeal.

Crafted from high-quality materials, this rug features a wool pile on a cotton foundation. Its dimensions measure 2'8" in width and 10'1" in length, making it a perfect fit for various spaces.

Originating from Afghanistan, this rug reflects the weaving expertise of ethnic Turkmen weavers, particularly those belonging to the Esari Subtribe. The wool used in its creation comes exclusively from sheep in the Ghazni Province, known for producing longer staple, oily wool of exceptional quality. After being transported to Herat, this raw Ghazni wool undergoes meticulous hand carding and spinning to be transformed into beautiful carpet yarn.

The intricate weaving process takes place on traditional floor looms, within the comforts of the weavers' own homes. A symmetrical "Persian" knot ties each strand of wool together, creating a durable and long-lasting rug. The cotton warp and weft, along with the double wefted heavily packed depressed warp weaving technique, contribute to its remarkable durability.

Adding to its allure are the centuries-old natural dye stuffs used in the coloring process, ensuring an authentic and vibrant color palette that will withstand the test of time.

This captivating rug showcases the skill and craftsmanship of Afghan weavers, embodying the rich heritage and traditions of the region. With a knots per square inch measurement of 80, we estimate that this remarkable piece of art consists of a staggering 306,016 individually hand-tied knots.

Embrace the beauty and cultural significance of this Afghani rug, a testament to the timeless artistry and mastery of its creators.
