Introducing our exquisite Pakistani rug, boasting a captivating Suzani design. This transitional-style rug features a striking blue background with an eye-catching orange border, creating a harmonious contrast. The main color scheme is predominantly blue, adding a sense of tranquility and elegance to any space.

Crafted from wool on cotton, this rug exemplifies the finest craftsmanship. The wool used in this rug is sourced from the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan, where the mountainous terrain yields longer staple, oily, and exceptionally high-quality wool. The raw Ghazni wool is then hand carted and spun in Herat, on the western side of Afghanistan, to create carpet yarn ready for weaving.

Employing traditional floor looms in the weaver's own homes, this rug is meticulously woven by skilled artisans, mostly from the Esari Subtribe of ethnic Turkmen weavers. The weaving technique employed is the asymmetrical "Persian" knot, known for its durability and long-lasting nature. The warp and weft are made of cotton, while the pile consists of all wool.

Featuring a double weft and a heavily packed depressed warp weaving, this rug guarantees utmost durability. The centuries-old dyeing process of using all-natural dye stuffs ensures vibrant and enduring colors. Notably, the captivating blue color of this rug is obtained from natural indigo dye stuffs. Indigo, derived from the leaves of the indigo plant, has been used for thousands of years in various cultures around the world to produce exquisite blue hues.

With a knots per square inch (KPSI) of 80, this rug is meticulously hand-tied. Based on the KPSI, we calculated that it has a total of 1,260,568 individually hand-tied knots, showcasing the dedication and artistry embedded in its creation.

Measuring at 9'2" x 12'1", this new Pakistani rug brings elegance, history, and exceptional quality to any home decor. Embrace its timeless beauty and transform your space with this remarkable piece of craftsmanship.
