Introducing our exquisite Afghani rug, showcasing the traditional Ersari design that truly captivates. With its lavender background and teal border, this rug brings a touch of elegance to any space. Crafted using the finest materials, it features a wool pile on a cotton foundation, ensuring both comfort and durability.

Originating from the skilled Ethnic Turkmen weavers, mainly of the Esari subtribe, this rug carries the rich heritage of Afghan craftsmanship. The wool used in its creation is sourced from the Ghazni Province, known for its mountainous terrain that produces longer staple, oily, and superior quality wool. After being carefully hand-carted and spun in Herat, the wool is transformed into carpet yarn.

Each rug is meticulously woven on traditional floor looms, often in the weaver's own home, signifying the cottage industry nature of the production. The asymmetrical "Persian" knot type adds to its character and charm. The use of cotton warp and weft, along with double-wefted, heavily packed, and depressed warp weaving, results in an exceptionally durable handwoven carpet.

Embracing the artistry of traditional dyeing methods, this rug boasts centuries-old all-natural dye stuffs, ensuring color richness that stands the test of time. Inspired by its Afghan roots, this rug embodies the vibrant soul of its creators.

With a size of 4'0" x 6'0" and a knots per square inch (KPSI) of 80, this rug reflects the intricate craftsmanship demonstrated by the 273,136 individually hand-tied knots that form its mesmerizing patterns.

Indulge in the allure of Afghan culture and bring home a piece of art that not only enhances your space but also tells a story of tradition and craftsmanship.
