Introducing our exquisite Afghan rug, originating from the Tabriz design style, it presents a captivating blend of transitional aesthetics. With a background in khaki and an emerald border, this rug exhibits a harmonious combination of earthy tones. Crafted using premium materials, it boasts a wool pile on a cotton foundation, ensuring both comfort and durability.

Handwoven by skilled Turkmen weavers, predominantly from the Esari Subtribe, this rug is a testament to their expertise and dedication. The wool used in its production comes from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan. This region's mountainous terrain yields high-quality, long-staple wool, perfect for carpet weaving. The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it is meticulously hand-carded and spun into carpet yarn.

Using traditional floor looms, these rugs are woven by individuals in their own homes, demonstrating the cottage industry's charm and authenticity. The weavers employ the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type, resulting in a detailed and intricate design. The rug features a cotton warp and weft, with an all-wool pile, ensuring sturdiness and longevity.

Adding to its allure, this rug showcases centuries-old natural dye stuffs, adding depth and character to its color palette. Each knot is expertly tied by hand, with a remarkable knots per square inch (KPSI) of 162. Extensive calculations have revealed that this stunning rug boasts an impressive total of 1,030,971 individually hand-tied knots.

Measuring 5'8" x 7'10", our Afghan rug is the perfect addition to any space, elevating its aesthetic with its timeless design and impeccable craftsmanship. Bring home a piece of Afghan heritage and immerse yourself in the artistry and history woven into this remarkable creation.
