The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, specifically Herat, where it undergoes the process of hand carting and hand spinning into carpet yarn.

It is woven using asymmetrical "Persian" knots, ensuring durability and longevity. The warp and weft are made of cotton, while the pile consists of luxuriously soft wool.
