Introducing a stunning Afghani rug with a vase Tabriz design. This traditional style rug features a beige background with an olive border, creating an elegant and timeless look. Crafted using high-quality materials, the rug is made of wool on cotton, ensuring both durability and comfort. With its new condition, this rug is ready to enhance any space with its exquisite design.

Originating from Afghanistan, specifically the Ghazni Province in the southeastern part of the country, this rug showcases the expertise of ethnic Turkmen weavers, primarily from the Esari subtribe. The wool used in this rug comes from sheep in the Ghazni Province, renowned for its mountainous terrain that produces longer staple, oily, and higher quality wool. The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it is hand carted and hand-spun into carpet yarn.

The rug is meticulously woven on traditional floor looms by skilled artisans in their own homes, representing a cottage industry type of production. Using the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type, the weavers expertly create a piece that is both visually captivating and structurally durable. The cotton warp and weft, along with the all-wool pile, contribute to the rug's longevity.

One of the notable features of this rug is the centuries-old all-natural dye stuffs used in its creation. The traditional methods of dyeing result in vibrant and long-lasting colors that add depth and character to the rug's design.

Additional information states that the rug is mostly woven in the Karam Kul district of Andkhoi, known for its skilled weavers who achieve higher knot count weaving. The yarn used in this rug is hand-spun, single-ply pern knot yarn.

The knots per square inch (KPSI) of this rug measure 104. When considering the KPSI, we calculated that this rug features an impressive total of 1,586,474 individually hand-tied knots. This showcases the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail invested in creating this masterpiece.

With its exquisite design, high-quality materials, and expert craftsmanship, this afghani rug is a remarkable addition to any decor. Its elegant vase Tabriz pattern and traditional style make it a timeless piece that will enhance the beauty of any space.
