Introducing our exquisite rug, originating from Afghanistan, specifically the Afghani region. This rug showcases the renowned Ziegler design, which is celebrated for its tribal style. The background color of this rug is a rich moss shade, complemented by a captivating rust border. The main color theme of this rug is a vibrant green, adding a touch of freshness to its overall appeal.

Crafted using high-quality materials, this rug features a new condition, ensuring its longevity and durability. The content consists of wool on a cotton foundation, combining softness with stability.

In terms of size, this rug measures 4 feet by 0 inches in width and 5 feet by 11 inches in length.

The rug is a testament to the exceptional skills of Afghan weavers, predominantly from the Esari Subtribe, who take pride in their craft. The wool used in this rug comes from sheep raised in the Ghazni Province, known for its mountainous terrain conducive to producing superior quality, longer staple, and oily wool, ideal for carpet weaving.

The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it is carefully hand carted and spun into carpet yarn. The weaving process takes place on traditional floor looms in the weavers' own homes, contributing to a cottage industry-type production.

When it comes to the construction of this rug, an asymmetrical "Persian" knot technique is employed, providing an intricate and durable weave. The warp and weft consist of cotton, while the pile is made entirely of wool. The double wefted, heavily packed depressed warp weaving technique ensures the utmost longevity and durability, making this rug a lasting investment.

Furthermore, the rug boasts centuries-old natural dye materials, imparting an authentic and timeless charm.

Several technological details enhance this rug's appeal. Most of the weavings are done in Aqucha and Mazar Sharif, utilizing a 2-ply yarn per knot. With a remarkable knots per square inch (KPSI) of 80, our rug proudly exhibits 269,343 individually hand-tied knots in total. This meticulous craftsmanship ensures the rug's remarkable quality and artistry.

Experience the beauty and heritage of this Afghani Ziegler design rug, meticulously crafted by skilled weavers using traditional techniques. Enrich your space with its captivating elegance and make a lasting statement.
