Introducing an exquisite Afghani rug, featuring a stunning arabesque design and a tribal style. With a taupe background and a green border, this rug embodies a unique blend of elegance and cultural heritage. Crafted from high-quality materials, this rug is made of new wool on a cotton base, ensuring both durability and comfort.

Measuring 9'9" x 13'4", this rug showcases the expert craftsmanship of ethnic Turkmen weavers, particularly those from the Esari Subtribe. The wool used in this rug is sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan, known for its mountainous terrain, which produces longer staple, oily wool ideal for carpet weaving. After being hand-spun into carpet yarn in Herat, the wool is meticulously woven on traditional floor looms in the weavers' own homes, following an asymmetrical "Persian" knot technique.

The durability of this rug is enhanced by its double-wefted and heavily-packed depressed warp weaving, making it one of the most resilient handwoven carpets available. The use of centuries-old, all-natural dyes further adds to its authenticity and charm.

The skilled weavers, mostly from the Karam Kul district of Andkhoi, contribute to the exceptional knot count of this rug, which measures 104 knots per square inch. To put this into perspective, our calculations indicate that this rug boasts an impressive total of 1,932,386 individually hand-tied knots.

Own a piece of Afghan heritage with this extraordinary rug. Its exquisite design, traditional craftsmanship, and premium materials make it a true testament to the rich cultural tapestry of its origins.
