Introducing our exquisite 8'4" x 10'4" rug with a magnificent Afghani origin and a captivating Mamluk design. This tribal-style rug features a teal background adorned with a navy border, creating a truly mesmerizing color palette. Crafted from high-quality wool on a cotton foundation, this rug is both durable and luxurious.

The skilled weavers responsible for creating this masterpiece hail from the Esari Subtribe, known for their exceptional craftsmanship. They meticulously hand-spun the wool sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan, an area renowned for its mountainous terrain, ideal for producing longer staple, oily, and superior-quality wool.

Using traditional floor looms in their homes, these weavers employed the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type technique, resulting in a carpet that boasts longevity and durability. The cotton warp and weft, along with the double wefted, heavily packed, and depressed warp weaving, further contribute to the rug's resilience.

Transporting us back in time, this rug carries the essence of centuries-old natural dye stuffs, lending it an authentic and timeless appeal. The Karam Kul district of Andkhoi serves as the primary location for most of our skilled weavers, renowned for their expertise in achieving higher knot counts. Employing the hand-spun single ply pern knot yarn technique, they ensure each knot is meticulously tied.

With a knots per square inch of 162, this rug showcases the weavers' dedication and precision. An impressive 1,999,989 knots adorn this rug, each hand-tied with meticulous care.

Indulge in the allure of this unique and artfully crafted rug, representing the rich heritage and skill of Afghani weavers. Immerse yourself in its cultural significance and allow it to infuse your space with elegance and personality.
