Introducing our exquisite Afghani rug, featuring a traditional Agra design, meticulously crafted by skilled weavers from the ethnic Turkmen community. Originating from the Esari Subtribe, this rug showcases the rich heritage and artistry of Afghanistan.

The background of this captivating piece is adorned with a soothing teal hue, beautifully contrasted by a beige border. The main color of this rug is teal, creating a captivating focal point.

Crafted with utmost care and precision, this rug is brand new and made of wool on cotton, ensuring both comfort and durability. Its size measures 5 '2 " X 9 '7 ", making it a versatile addition to any space.

The creation process begins with sourcing high-quality wool from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan. The region's mountainous terrain offers ideal conditions for producing longer staple, oily wool, perfect for carpet weaving. The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it is hand-carded and hand-spun into carpet yarn.

Using traditional floor looms within their own homes, skilled artisans weave this rug with the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type. The warp and weft consist of cotton, while the luxurious pile is made entirely of wool. The double-wefted construction and heavily packed, depressed warp weaving technique contribute to the remarkable durability of this handwoven masterpiece.

A testament to its timeless appeal, this Afghani rug is dyed using centuries-old, all-natural dye stuffs, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting colors. Additionally, most of these rugs are woven in Aqucha and Mazar Sharif, utilizing 2-ply yarn per knot.

With a notable 80 knots per square inch and a total of 563,502 individually hand-tied knots, this rug exemplifies the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail that is characteristic of Afghan rug making.

Elevate your decor with this stunning Afghani rug, a testament to the rich cultural heritage and artistry of Afghanistan. With its striking design, durable construction, and exceptional quality, this rug is sure to be a cherished addition to any space.
