Crafted with care, this rug is made from wool sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan. To bring out the true potential of this wool, it is hand carted and spun into carpet yarn in the western side of Afghanistan, around Herat.

In particular, the enchanting blue hues are derived from natural indigo dye stuffs. Natural indigo, also known as indigofera tinctoria or true indigo, is sourced from the leaves of the indigo plant.
