Introducing a stunning rug from Afghanistan, specifically from the Esari Subtribe, we present a vase Tabriz design. This traditional-style rug features a beige background and an olive border, creating an elegant and timeless look.

Crafted from high-quality materials, this rug is made from wool on cotton, ensuring durability and comfort underfoot. The wool used in this rug comes from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan, known for its mountainous terrain that yields longer staple, oily wool ideal for carpet weaving. This raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it undergoes the meticulous process of hand carting and hand spinning into carpet yarn.

The rug is woven on traditional floor looms found in the artisans' own homes, contributing to a cottage industry type of production. Utilizing an asymmetrical "Persian" knot type and a cotton warp and weft, this rug exhibits exceptional craftsmanship. Its double wefted heavily packed depressed warp weaving guarantees utmost durability, making it one of the most long-lasting handwoven carpets available today.

As for its colors, this rug showcases centuries-old all-natural dye stuffs, adding an authentic touch to its design. The richness of the beige background and olive border creates a visually pleasing contrast.

Measuring at 4'4" x 11'11", this rug is the perfect size for adding a touch of elegance to larger spaces. With a knots per square inch (KPSI) of 104, we have calculated that this rug boasts a total of 767,584 individually hand-tied knots.

Immerse yourself in the beauty and craftsmanship of this Afghani vase Tabriz rug. Its traditional design and high-quality materials make it a valuable addition to any home or collection.
