We are really looking forward to 2016 here at L&A, and there is no better way to ring in the New Year than going on a rug buying trip! Four of us recently attended Domotex, the world’s largest floor covering expo in Hannover, Germany, what a great experience. The sheer magnitude of Domotex is overwhelming; 36 airplane hangar sized function halls filled with all things rugs, carpeting, hardwood and anything else you could image living on the floor. It’s so refreshing to get out of our little Boston bubble and see what is going on in the rest of the rug world as far as styles and trends go, which leads us to the rugs below.

One of the trends we picked up on this year at Domotex was the popularity of the Navy Blue/Ivory/Gray colorway. We had been hearing from our salespeople over the past few months that we needed more pieces in this colorway, and its ubiquitous presence at virtually every booth we visited solidified its position as one of the top rug trends of 2016. Needless to say, we stocked up on all things Navy/Ivory/Gray, but we thought it would be a good idea to go through our current inventory and highlight some pieces in this colorway in see how easily it translates to all styles, whether its Antique/Traditional, Transitional, or Contemporary (JF6080, J44876 and J44983 from top left):
