Introducing our exquisite Pakistani rug, boasting a stunning Moghul design, this traditional masterpiece showcases the timeless beauty of the camel background and rust border. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this rug is a true work of art.

Made from high-quality materials, this rug features a wool pile on a cotton foundation, ensuring both comfort and durability. The dimensions of this rug are 6'8" x 15'11", providing ample space to enhance any room with its elegance.

With origins in Pakistan, this rug reflects the expertise and skill of ethnic Turkmen weavers, predominantly from the Esari Subtribe. The wool used in this rug is sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of South East Afghanistan, renowned for its mountainous terrain that produces longer staple, oily, and higher-quality wool for carpet weaving.

The raw Ghazni wool is then carefully transported to the western side of Afghanistan, specifically around Herat, where it undergoes hand carding and hand spinning to create the perfect yarn for the rug. The weaving process takes place on traditional floor looms, often in the weavers' own homes as part of a cottage industry-type production, adding a personal touch to each piece.

The rug is woven using an asymmetrical "Persian" knot type, ensuring durability and longevity. Its cotton warp and weft, combined with double wefting and the heavily packed depressed warp weaving technique, result in one of the most durable handwoven carpets available today.

What truly sets this rug apart is its all-natural dyeing process. Centuries-old techniques are employed, utilizing only natural dye stuffs to achieve the rich and vibrant colors that adorn this exceptional piece.

The Karam Kul district of Andkhoi is where most of these rugs are woven. This region is renowned for its skilled weavers, known for their ability to achieve higher knot counts. The yarn used in this rug is hand-spun using a single-ply pern knot technique, adding to its authenticity and beauty.

With a remarkable knot count of 162 knots per square inch, we have calculated that this rug possesses an impressive 2,464,538 individually hand-tied knots, a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication put into each rug.

Elevate the aesthetic appeal of your space with this exquisite Pakistani rug, showcasing the splendid Moghul design and incorporating the rich history and tradition of its origins. Experience the allure of this artful masterpiece - a true centerpiece for any discerning collector or interior enthusiast.
