Introducing our exquisite Afghani rug, featuring the captivating design of Bakshaish Willow. This tribal-style rug showcases a stunning navy background with a rust border, creating a harmonious contrast that adds depth and character to any space. Crafted with the utmost precision, this rug is made using high-quality materials, with a wool pile on a cotton warp and weft.

Originating from the Esari Subtribe in Afghanistan, our rugs are woven by skilled Turkmen weavers who have mastered the art of carpet making. The wool used in this rug is sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province, renowned for producing longer staple, oily wool ideal for weaving. The raw Ghazni wool is then brought to Herat, where it is meticulously hand-carded and spun into carpet yarn, ready for the weaving process.

Using traditional floor looms in their own homes, these talented weavers create these rugs with an asymmetrical "Persian" knot type. The double-wefted, heavily packed depressed warp weaving technique ensures the utmost durability, making these carpets truly exceptional in quality and craftsmanship.

To achieve its captivating blue hue, this rug uses natural indigo dye, derived from the leaves of the indigo plant. Indigo has been used for centuries by various cultures worldwide, known for its ability to create vibrant blue shades that stand the test of time.

As for its size, this beautiful rug measures 6'0" x 8'11". With a knots per square inch (KPSI) of 80, we have meticulously calculated that our rug boasts a total of 608,868 individually hand-tied knots.

Experience the beauty and artistry of this Afghani rug, a true testament to the rich heritage and craftsmanship of the region. Embrace its timeless design and quality, adding a touch of sophistication to any space.
