This rug originates from India and features a classical garden design with a transitional style. The background is a denim shade, complemented by a russet border and various shades of blue as its primary color. The rug is constructed using wool on a cotton foundation.

The rug has recently been woven, with final washing and multiple finishing processes conducted in Jaipur. Chromium dyes are used for this production due to their color accuracy and lightfastness, which is especially effective for achieving a consistent antique finish. The designs and dyed, hand-spun wools are distributed to smaller contractors, who then weave the rugs in villages, primarily outside of Jaipur, but also as far as Bikaner. The weavers are generally paid by the square meter and work on stationary horizontal looms for larger rugs wider than ten feet.

The rugs from Rajasthan are known for their asymmetrical Persian-type knot. This technique has been used by weavers in the region for centuries, contributing to the rug's ribbed texture. The wool used is a blend of Ghazni wool, imported from Afghanistan, and South African wool. The double-wefted foundation is robust, consisting of a thick bottom weft and a finer, pure white upper weft. The upper weft is threaded loosely to create a speckled appearance of white yarns, adding texture and a vintage look similar to that of worn antique rugs.

The designs are based on antique Persian and Khotanese carpets, with a color scheme that blends both traditional and modern elements. This particular rug has a knots-per-square-inch (KPSI) density of 104, amounting to a total of 1,638,816 individually hand-tied knots.

The visual design of this rug is complex and harmonious, featuring a balance of geometric and floral patterns. Geometric shapes are symmetrically arranged, while detailed floral motifs of flowers, branches, and leaves enhance the overall design. The color scheme includes shades of blue, orange, beige, cream, and lighter blue accents, all blending harmoniously to create a warm and inviting appearance. The central medallion and its surrounding areas incorporate balanced, contrasting colors, adding depth and interest.

The borders of the rug are intricately designed, with the outermost border being cream-colored and adorned with geometric motifs in lighter orange and dark patterns. This subtle frame integrates the rug's design elegantly. An inner border features geometric and floral motifs that reflect the colors of the central pattern.

The design is symmetrically arranged along both vertical and horizontal axes, contributing to a balanced and ordered appearance. The central medallion stands out as a focal point, surrounded by a broader section that adds to the visual differentiation within the rug.
