Introducing our exquisite rug from Afghanistan, this captivating piece features a honeycomb design that is sure to add a touch of elegance to any space. The background of the rug is a rich denim shade, beautifully complemented by a border in a stylish shade of grey. Its transitional style seamlessly combines traditional elements with contemporary influences, resulting in a timeless and versatile piece.

Crafted by skilled ethnic Turkmen weavers, mostly from the Esari Subtribe, this rug is made from all-natural wool sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of South East Afghanistan. The mountainous terrain of this region naturally produces longer staple, oily, high-quality wool, ideal for carpet weaving. The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, around Herat, where it is hand-carded and hand-spun into carpet yarn, ready for the weaving process.

Using traditional floor looms in the comfort of their homes, these talented weavers create this masterpiece with an asymmetrical "Persian" knot type. The warp and weft consist of cotton, while the sumptuous pile is made entirely of wool. The double-wefted technique, combined with the heavily packed depressed warp weaving, ensures exceptional durability, making this rug an investment that will stand the test of time.

Embracing centuries-old traditions, this rug derives its captivating blue color from natural indigo dye stuffs. Indigo, extracted from the leaves of the indigo plant, is one of the oldest known dyes used by humans. It has a rich history spanning thousands of years, and its vibrant blue hues have been celebrated in various cultures worldwide.

With a knots per square inch count of 104, we have painstakingly calculated that this magnificent rug boasts a total of 1,246,767 individually hand-tied knots. Such intricate craftsmanship showcases the dedication and skill of the weavers, resulting in a truly remarkable work of art.

Measuring at 8 feet and 3 inches in width and 10 feet and 2 inches in length, this rug is an impressive size that can effortlessly define and enhance any room. Its new condition ensures it arrives in pristine form, ready to adorn your space with its timeless beauty.

Bring the allure of Afghan craftsmanship into your home with this captivating honeycomb rug. Experience the undeniable quality, artistry, and beauty this piece has to offer.
