This rug hails from India and features a fascinating Illusion design. The background color is taupe and the main color is beige, giving this piece a classic and versatile appeal. It's contemporary in style, flawlessly adapting to today's home décor trends.

Constructed from wool on cotton, this rug is characterized by its durability and comfort. Its circular shape, with a dimension of 7'11" X 7'11", draws inspiration from traditional Indian rug designs and adapts it for contemporary spaces.

The designer, Teddy Sumner of Michaelian & Kohlberg, drew his inspiration from fields of tall, rustling grasses. This inspiration is echoed in the intricacies of the rug’s style, with tonal patterns resembling small blades of grass. The use of natural dye stuffs brings multiple shadings within the same color range, a technique also known as abrash. In line with its production in Agra, India, this rug’s weave is characterized by an asymmetrical Persian knot, reminiscent of traditional Indian weaving techniques.

This rug is part of the "Grass" collection, a new concept that emphasizes the subtle designs evoking soothing images of fade-away horizons and undulating rows of grain. With its wavy texture, this rug exudes an impression of depth and motion.

Notably, this rug carries a distinct lineage— it is produced in the fine tradition of Indian carpet weaving, classified as an Agra rug. This classification represents its rich cultural legacy and the sophisticated weaving techniques it incorporates, reinforcing its value and uniqueness.
