Introducing our exquisite new rug from Afghanistan, featuring the elegant design of Khotan Garden. This traditional style rug showcases a stunning navy background and a crimson border, adding a touch of sophistication to any space. Crafted from high-quality wool on cotton, this rug offers both durability and a luxurious feel. With a size of 2'7" x 9'7", it is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to hallways or narrow spaces.

This rug is woven by skilled ethnic Turkmen weavers, primarily from the Esari Subtribe. The wool used in its construction is sourced from sheep in the Ghazni Province of Southeast Afghanistan, where the mountainous terrain contributes to the production of longer staple, oily, and higher quality wool for carpet weaving. The raw Ghazni wool is then brought to the western side of Afghanistan, around Herat, where it undergoes hand carding and hand spinning into carpet yarn. The weaving process takes place on traditional floor looms in the weavers' own homes, reflecting the cottage industry type of production.

The rug employs an asymmetrical "Persian" knot type and utilizes cotton warp and weft, with a luxurious all-wool pile. It is double wefted with heavily packed depressed warp weaving, ensuring superior durability and longevity. The use of centuries-old all-natural dye stuffs further enhances the authenticity and richness of this rug.

Notably, this rug features a knot count of 104 knots per square inch, with a total of 367,994 individually hand-tied knots. This meticulous craftsmanship showcases the dedication and expertise of the weavers.

The captivating blue color of this rug is achieved through the use of natural indigo dye stuffs. Indigo, derived from the leaves of the indigo plant, has been used for thousands of years to produce vibrant blue hues. 3 Day Money Back Guarantee and Return Policy for Handwoven Rugs

At Landry & Arcari, we hope to help you find the perfect rug for your home, which is why we give you a chance to view any handmade rug in your home for three days. If you decide the rug is not for you, you may return it within three days for a refund, less return shipping charges. The following conditions apply: 

• The three-day return period begins upon delivery of the rug to the shipping address you provided.   

• Returns after three days are considered exchanges and are valid for a merchandise credit only.  

• Exchanges are up to 30 Days. After 30 days, your sale is final.  

• All Customers are responsible for return shipping and insurance charges. Customers outside the Continental US will also be responsible for any local duty and vat charges.   

• The item must be unused and in the same condition as received to be eligible for a refund or exchange. 

• Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you of your return approval or rejection. If approved, we will include a copy of your refund.   

• To return your rug, you will need to properly wrap and secure it in the original wrapping. If you require new wrapping, don't hesitate to contact us. 

• THIS POLICY DOES NOT APPLY to custom ordered rugs, carpet and carpet area rugs, custom rug fabrication and alterations of any kind, rug & carpeting pads, wholesale, or trade accounts.

Each carpet area rug is made-to-order, which is why all carpet sales are final. However, once you place your order, we will contact you via email or phone to confirm the exact dimensions, carpet product, and color before processing your final order. This policy applies to carpet rolls as well.
