Introducing our exquisite Pakistani rug, featuring the renowned Peking design. This traditional-style rug boasts a navy background and an ivory border, highlighting a mesmerizing blue color scheme. Crafted with utmost precision, this rug is a true masterpiece.

Hailing from the skillful hands of ethnic Turkmen weavers, mostly from the Esari Subtribe, this rug utilizes the finest wool sourced from the Ghazni Province of South East Afghanistan. The rugged terrain of this region naturally produces longer staple, oily wool, ensuring the highest quality for carpet weaving.

The raw Ghazni wool is carefully transported to the western side of Afghanistan, near Herat, where it undergoes meticulous hand carting and spinning to create the carpet yarn. This yarn is then woven on traditional floor looms, often in the weavers' own homes, showcasing the true spirit of cottage industry production.

Employing the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type and cotton warp and weft, this rug displays the exceptional craftsmanship of double wefted, heavily packed depressed warp weaving. These techniques result in a durable, long-lasting handwoven carpet, a testament to the centuries-old artistry passed down through generations.

Adhering to tradition, this rug incorporates all-natural dye stuffs, creating vivid hues that have stood the test of time. The blue color in particular is achieved through the use of natural indigo dye, derived from the leaves of the indigo plant. This ancient dye has been cherished by various cultures for thousands of years, producing vibrant and captivating blue shades.

With a knot count of 104 per square inch, this rug exhibits meticulous attention to detail. In fact, we have calculated that this particular rug features an astounding 1,571,611 individually hand-tied knots in total. This intricate craftsmanship ensures that each rug is a unique work of art, imbued with a rich history and unparalleled beauty.

Experience the timeless allure of this Pakistani rug and add a touch of elegance to any space.
