The raw Ghazni wool is then transported to the western side of Afghanistan, specifically around Herat, where it undergoes the meticulous process of being hand-carded and hand-spun into carpet yarn, ensuring the utmost quality.

To create this magnificent piece, the wool is meticulously woven on traditional floor looms in the artisans' own homes, reflecting the cottage industry production style. The weaving technique employed is the asymmetrical "Persian" knot type, known for its strength and durability.
