Originating from India, this transitional Tabriz style rug presents a khaki-colored background complemented by an ivory border. The main color of the rug is beige, and it is constructed from wool on a cotton foundation. This newly woven rug has gone through final washing and multiple finishing processes in Jaipur, which enhance its overall quality and appearance.

Chromium dyes are utilized for their color accuracy and consistency in custom orders, particularly effective with the extra antique finishing these rugs receive. Most of these rugs are produced by smaller contractors who distribute the designs and pre-dyed, hand-spun wools to villages mostly around Jaipur and as far west as Bikaner. The weavers are compensated by the square meter and often work from their homes. Larger rugs, exceeding ten feet in width, are typically woven in villages equipped with stationary horizontal looms.

The distinctive construction of Rajasthan rugs involves the use of an asymmetrical Persian knot, a technique that has been employed in the region for centuries. This knotting method, which contributes to the rug's ribbed texture, enhances its vintage worn and weathered look. The wool used in these rugs is a blend of Ghazni wool imported from Afghanistan and South African wool. The rug's dense foundation is double-wefted, featuring a thick bottom weft made of multiple plies of dense cotton and a finer, loosely threaded upper weft of pure white cotton. This upper weft becomes visible once the rugs are sheared down, creating a speckled, lighter appearance reminiscent of antique rugs that have worn down over time.

The designs in this collection draw inspiration from antique Persian and Khotanese carpets, offering a blend of traditional and modern colorations. This particular rug boasts 104 knots per square inch, which translates to a total of 1,191,536 individually hand-tied knots.

Visually, the rug displays elaborate and intricate patterns. The central medallion, characterized by nested diamond shapes and complex repeating motifs, serves as the focal point of the highly symmetrical design. Geometric patterns such as diamonds, triangles, and zigzag lines dominate the surrounding areas. The color palette includes muted shades of beige and brown, contributing to the rug's antique feel. The central medallion features a gradient effect, transitioning from darker tones at the center to lighter shades outward.

The border of the rug consists of a wide main stripe filled with dense geometric patterns, primarily diamond shapes, and is framed by thinner secondary borders showcasing more delicate designs. The overall pattern density is high, especially in the central area and border regions, resulting in a visually rich texture.
